SF THURS NOV 11TH - BRAP DEM! vs. NIGHT KITCHEN

Prepare for a double dose of hot skewered beats! On November 11, 2010, nightlife luminaries Brap Dem! and The Night Kitchen bring two of the most fascinating names in dance music together under one roof at the newly minted, sonically superior Public Works.

DJ SEGA - MAD DECENT - PHILLY
Philadelphiaʼs finest, DJ Sega, AKA Robert Taylor Jr., finally returns to the Bay with his inimitable mutant strain of Baltimore Club. First known for such dancefloor rumblers as “Woo-Hah!” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Sega now crafts mixtapes for Mad Decent and adds his Philly flair to remixes for the likes of Rye Rye, Buraka Som Sistema and Mates Of State.

DJ RASHAD - PLANET MU - CHICAGO
Chicago Juke, AKA Footwork, has been on the tip of everyoneʼs tongue lately, so who better to introduce the sound to California than its godfather, DJ Rashad! Earning his stripes with countless juke and ghettotech productions over the last 10 years, Rashad Harden forged his own hypercrunk variation on the sound for recent releases on DJ Godfatherʼs Juke Trax label. Having hypnotized UK tastemakers such as Headhunter and Night Slugs, heʼs been picked up by Planet Mu and is dropping footwork beats around the globe. Always versatile, Rashad is keen to balance fresh otherworldly flavors with his hometown brew of bootyshakers. Keep an eye on nastysonix.com for free DJ Rashad music downloads to come!

Additional incendiary beats provided by SF bass pranksters Staypuft DJ and Sam Supa. With an immense Funktion One sound system and stellar reputation to boot, Public Works is the perfect setting for such a momentous occasion. Footwork descends upon San Francisco—dress to sweat.
